77th Republic Day Celebrated Across Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust Institutions and KBPS Schools.


January 26, 2026 – The 77th Republic Day was celebrated today with immense pride and nationalistic enthusiasm at the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) Jammu. The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flags by the Chariman Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust Mr. Arshad Ali Choudhary in the august presence of Haji Abdul Hamid Chowdhary, Patron-in-Chief of GDCT; Advocate Shah Mohammad Chowdhary, Former Chairman; Er. Mohammad Sadiq Azad, General Secretary; Ch. Salam ud Din Bajard, Er. Mohammad Taj Chowdhary, Senior Trustees and Students of Babu Faiz Ahmed Study Centre, alongside other esteemed dignitaries and faculty members followed by a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, setting a tone of deep patriotism for the day's proceedings. In his keynote address, Chairman Mr. Arshad Ali Choudhary delivered a motivating speech that resonated deeply with the audience. He highlighted the significance of Republic Day, urging students to embrace a sense of pride and zeal as future citizens of the nation. His words were aimed at fostering a spirit of oneness and nationalistic dedication among all participants. Republic Day was also observed at the Brig. Khuda Baksh Memorial Public Higher Secondary School and Rambagh Kullian Primary School (running under the aegis of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust). At KBPS, the National Flag was unfurled by the Principal, Ms. Nehreer Khan. Whereas, Senior Trustees Ch. Shouket Javed and Ch. Sajad Majeed Chechi unfurled the National Flag at Rambagh Kullian Primary School. The event featured a series of dazzling cultural performances by the students, including patriotic songs and choreographed acts that showcased the vibrant heritage of India. The "glittering event" concluded with a renewed commitment from the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust to continue nurturing patriotic values within the educational framework of the institution.

Chairman, Muslim Educational Trust Thanna Mandi Pays Rich Tribute to Late Dr. Masud Choudhary at GDCT



January 10, 2026, marked a solemn and memorable chapter in the history of the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT), Jammu, as a dignified condolence meeting was organized to pay rich homage to Baba-e-Qoum late Dr. Masud Choudhary—an eminent scholar, visionary social reformer, and lifelong champion of education, social awareness, and humanitarian values. The programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Khurshid Bismil, Chairman, Muslim Educational Trust (MET), Thanna Mandi, Rajouri, who visited GDCT along with his son, Mr. Tahir Khurshid Raina, Principal District & Sessions Judge, other family members, and associates. The distinguished guests were accorded a warm and respectful welcome by the Trust management.

The proceedings commenced with Fateha Khwani at the final resting place of the departed leader, situated alongside the GDCT premises, followed by the observance of a moment of silence in recognition of the unparalleled and selfless services rendered by late Dr. Masud Choudhary for the upliftment of marginalized and underprivileged sections of society, the promotion of education, and the preservation of human dignity. Subsequently, the GDCT Library transformed into a vibrant centre of intellectual discourse and reflection. A large and distinguished gathering comprising lawyers, academicians, educationists, intellectuals, former senior government officers, retired bureaucrats, and prominent social personalities assembled to pay their respectful tributes.

The atmosphere throughout remained solemn, reflective, and intellectually enriching. Those who addressed the gathering included former Additional Advocate General Mr. Hussain Ahmad Siddiqui; Dr. Shahnawaz Chaudhary; Mr. Rashid Azam Inqalabi, former Director School Education; Senior Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmad; Mr. Gulzar Ahmad Qureshi, former Director School Education; former college principal and President, Aligarh Society, Prof. Musarraf Hussain Shah; eminent Gojri writer Dr. Javed Rahi; and former Chairman GDCT and designated Senior Advocate of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Shah Mohammad Chaudhary. The speakers unanimously remembered late Dr. Masud Choudhary as a principled, farsighted leader who firmly believed that education is the most powerful instrument of social transformation. His intellectual depth, unwavering commitment, and profound compassion for humanity were described as a guiding beacon for present and future generations. Chairman GDCT, Mr. Arshad Ali Chaudhary, in his address expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr. Khurshid Bismil for paying a meaningful visit to GDCT, sharing invaluable and cherished memories of Baba-e-Qoum late Dr. Masud Choudhary, and dedicating rare photographs, books, and audio-video material to the Trust.

He reaffirmed his firm resolve to carry forward the noble mission of Dr. Masud Choudhary with the collective involvement of all stakeholders. In his comprehensive, thoughtful, and captivating address, the Chief Guest, Mr. Khurshid Bismil, elaborated on the life, mission, and ideology of late Dr. Masud Choudhary. He also offered valuable suggestions aimed at further strengthening the institutional framework, sustainability, and outreach of the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust. On the occasion, as a gesture of educational and social cooperation, Mr. Khurshid Bismil announced a donation of ?50,000 from the Muslim Educational Trust, Thanna Mandi, to GDCT. He also presented a framed collection of commemorative photographs with late Dr. Masud Choudhary, a preserved audio-video recording of one of his memorial speeches, and a set of books for the GDCT Library. These valuable contributions were warmly appreciated by the audience.

Family members of late Dr. Masud Choudhary, including Er. Arafat Masud, Vice Chairman GDCT, and Dr. Nazia Choudhary, Director KBPS, were present on the occasion. Among others present were former Deputy Commissioner Mr. G. A. Khawaja; former Chairmen GDCT Ch. Ahsan Ullah Chechi and Master Hashim Ali; former General Secretary GDCT Ch. Mohammad Sharif Chouhan; and esteemed Trustees—Ch. Shouket Javed, Ch. Salam-ud-Din Bajarh, Ch. Shouket Parvez, Ch. Mohammad Yousuf Khepar, Ch. Sajad Majeed, Ch. Mohammad Rafiq Kohli, Ch. Mohammad Saleem, Er. Mohammad Taj Choudhary, Ch. Inzar Ahmed Rana, Haji Hamid Hussain, Er. Ghulam Rasool, Ch. Mohammad Aslam Geghi, Er. Khurshid-ul-Islam, Adv. Anwar Choudhary, Adv. Zulqar-Nain Choudhary, Ch. Asif Khaliq Poswal, Ch. Amjad Ali, Ch. Javed Iqbal, and Ch. Mohammad Amin, among many others. The condolence meeting concluded with a collective resolve to carry forward and further strengthen the noble mission of late Dr. Masud Choudhary—education, service to humanity, and social justice—with renewed commitment, intellectual vigor, and an expanded vision. The gathering affirmed that such towering personalities never fade with time; they continue to live on through their ideals and enduring contributions to society.
